Scent Work Beezers!

Beezers made a great showing at the Scent Work Trial!

Helix attended his first trial and earned his first Qs!

Junior debuted in advanced and earned 11/12 Qs, 10 placements and three new titles. Most impressively, he earned THREE High in Trials!

Sol performed in Excellent and earned 5/8 Qs and a new title.

Zest finished her Interior Excellent title, earned a couple Excellent Exterior Qs and two Qs and two first placements in Master Exterior!

Helix is from the 2023 Spring Litter co-bred with Tesoro Ibizans.
Junior is from the 2022 Art Litter co-bred with Acires Ibizans.
Sol is from the 2015 Kiss Litter.
Zest is from the 2021 Sun Litter.

National Specialty

While there were not many Kamar dogs in attendance at the National Specialty this year, there were still some standouts!

Fable was entered in a flurry of events with Mackenzie. He performed in AKC/ASFA Lure Coursing, Triathlon, Dual Titled Sweeps, Rally (Excellent and Advanced), and the National Specialty show. In Rally Advanced B, he earned multiple very high scores and ended up both High in Trial and earned his first High Combined award. Ultimately, he won the 2025 IHCUS Triathlon award by a very decisive almost 11 points!

Jagger, bred by Sabrina Wright and co-bred by Kamar, won the IHCUS People's Choice award at the Top Twenty event.

Dulce won her class at the Specialty and ultimately was awarded Best Puppy in Specialty. That evening, during the Sleepover Specialty, she ended up awarded WB in a large entry for her first five point major. It's great to see her appreciated by breeder judges!

Cora excelled in Rally, and she qualified in 6 Rally events in one day and picked up 5 RACH points. 2 High in Trials, 1 High Combined, 2 Qs toward her Rally Master 3 title, 2 Qs to RAE2 title, 2 triple Qs for #14, and 5 RACH points.

Cora debuted with her dad handling her and they accomplished something pretty amazing! Cora was awarded Advanced High In Trial! She's only the second Ibizan to earn a HIT, with the first one being her father, Fly. She's made her family super proud!

NACSW Trials; Barn Hunt

Fly and his daughters were busy this week! Fly & Cora performed in NACSW trials in different parts of the country! Fly got his NW1 title in Alabama with a 2nd place in exterior and 3rd place in vehicles. All 4 of his searches got a pronounced rating from the judges. As icing on the cake he got 1st place overall out of 43 entered. This is the breeds first over all win. In the midwest, Cora also took part in her first NACSW trial and successfully earned her NW1 title the same day as her dad!

Earlier in the week, Izzy earned her Barn Hunt Novice title and her older sister, Thea, earned her Barn Hunt Instinct title. Congratulations to everyone!

NLCC Weekend & Fly Scentwork

It was a wet and soggy weekend for the Kamar crew, but everyone had a great time at the NLCC. Fable was the star of the weekend, walking away as a new Field Champion, the NLCC BOB Finalist and with two BOBs and a second place in Specials. Halo, Ayla, Phenom, Knots, Gigi also all took their turns in the placements as well, with Gigi and Ayla winning the Kennel Stake and Ayla and Phenom winning the Breeder Stake. Huge congratulations to all!

While the younger Beezers were off lure coursing, Fly had his second weekend of his new sport: Scentwork! He finished his previous weekend with multiple placements, including first placements, but he stepped up his game for this second weekend. Not only did he finish his Scentwork Novice title, but he finished with lots of placements and a High In Trial! This makes him the first Ibizan to achieve this.
