Junior is following in his father's footsteps with his exception nose and drive! Today, he finished second place out of 47 dogs at the NACSW trial and finished his NW1 title with 3 out of 4 pronounced searches! Junior is from the 2022 Art Litter.

Sol had her first NACSW NW3 trial. This level is very challenging as we have 6 searches with an unknown # of hides (0 to 3). You need to be perfect with no errors or faults or earn 2 NW3 legs to get the NW3 title. Sol found 11/11 hides and we had 1 error (ran out of time in one search) but we earned an NW3 leg. We also got pronounced in 2 searches as well which is a special nod from the judges.  Zest and Sol both participated in Right Choice Dog Training's NW2 in Jefferson today. Both of them completed their NW2 title with Sol earning 3 pronounced searches. Meanwhile, Kevin went Best of Winners and Best Opposite for her first Major! She is down to just needing one last Major to finish. Additionally, Flex earned his Novice JWW title today! It was a big weekend for the Sun Litter! Zest, Kevin & Flex are from the 2021 Sun Litter. Sol is from the 2015 Kiss Litter.  Zest & Sol  Kevin  Flex Fable had a great weekend in Georgia doing Nosework with his dad, Fly! After some tough searches Fable ended the day by earning his NW2 with 2 ‘Pronounced’ designations and a 3rd place in exteriors. Fable is the first Ibizan Hound to earn an NW2! Fable is from the 2020 Mind Litter.  Fly and his daughters were busy this week! Fly & Cora performed in NACSW trials in different parts of the country! Fly got his NW1 title in Alabama with a 2nd place in exterior and 3rd place in vehicles. All 4 of his searches got a pronounced rating from the judges. As icing on the cake he got 1st place overall out of 43 entered. This is the breeds first over all win. In the midwest, Cora also took part in her first NACSW trial and successfully earned her NW1 title the same day as her dad! Earlier in the week, Izzy earned her Barn Hunt Novice title and her older sister, Thea, earned her Barn Hunt Instinct title. Congratulations to everyone! Fly is from the 2011 Solo Litter. Fable made Ibizan history today by becoming the first Ibizan to title in NACSW, which is the original scent work association. In order to earn this title, Fable and Mackenzie had to qualify in all of the searches at the same day of the trial. These consisted of a Container, Interior, Exterior, and Vehicle search, where the dog searches the area and the handler identifies when the dog found the odor source. The handler must alert the judge when the dog has found the scent. Dogs that have an exemplary search can be awarded a "pronounced" designation by a judge, which Fable earned for his Interior search. Fable located all the odors in just over two minutes. Obviously, this is a special achievement, and we are all very proud of these two! Fable goes on to join cousin Knots in setting new records in scent work!  |
