It was a big weekend of showing and lure coursing. Niko and Lava were Select the first day of the show and Lava was BOB the second day. In lure coursing, Sol was BOB both days for back to back 5 point majors for her lure coursing debut. Seren was second place for three more points the first day and Niko was third for two points, Thea was fourth place and Aiden was NBQ - putting Kamar beezers in all the placements out of an entry of 16 dogs. The second day, Niko was third again for two points.
Lava and Niko are from the 2013 Grand Finale litter. Sol is from the 2015 Kiss litter. Seren and Thea are from the 2015 Fly litter.

The 2016 Nationals was a big weekend for Kamar, with almost every litter represented. The week started with Norma in the performance rings, winning the high scoring BN obedience prize and qualifying in agility for second place. This was followed by AKC lure coursing, where Norma won the Performance Stake and placed second in her flight. Her brother Niko was fourth in his stake and Thea was fourth place in her stake. On the day of the National Specialty, the big excitement of the day was Lava winning Best Of Opposite Sex! Huge congratulations to Alisa on a wonderful job with her! Her brother Niko also made the cut in the breed ring during his debut as a special. Thea and Izzy also won their classes. The next day at the supported entry shows, puppy Izzy, from the youngest Kamar litter, wow'd everyone by going WB for her second major! Great job, Sabrina! Lava was also Select. In ASFA lure coursing, Norma once again won the Performance Stake and was fourth place in her stake. Niko was NBQ. Lava, Norma and Niko are from the 2013 Grand Finale Litter. Thea is from the 2015 Fly Litter. Izzy is from the 2016 Double Litter. The Kamar Beezers had a full weekend lure coursing despite hard ground and heat! Ami (2013 Grand Finale Litter) finished her Lure Courser of Merit title, Niko (2013 Grand Finale Litter) picked up a major in AKC and Aiden (2014 Red Litter) earned more points toward his AKC field champion title. Ami, Aiden, Kelia and Deckard all earned more ASFA points as well and Jasper earned points toward his ASFA TCP title.
In Phoenix, AZ - Risa entered a three day cluster and took Select one day and BOS the second and third day. She also won an Owner-Handler Group Three. Congratulations, Brianne! Risa is from the 2013 Grand Finale Litter.
In Atlanta, GA - Jasper and Angel got their second leg in Rally Novice. Wonderful job! Jasper is from the 2014 Red Litter. Niko QC'd in his first AKC trial and went on to win first place in open on Saturday and second place in open on Sunday for his first three points. Niko is from the 2013 Grand Finale Litter. In Fairburn, GA - Deckard (2012 XXX Litter) helped certify Niko (2013 Grand Finale Litter) for NLCC and went on to win BOB the first day. Niko was BOB on the second day.
Aiden made his ASFA debut, winning the open stake and BOB. He finished out the weekend with 33 points putting him 1/3rd of the way towards his field championship after only one weekend. Aiden is from the 2014 Red Litter and is also major pointed in AKC coursing and conformation. Good boy Shrinky!
Niko ran great in singles both days, winning the stake on Sunday and giving him 24 points for the weekend towards his singles title. Niko is from the 2013 Grand Finale Litter. Niko’s sister Norma also had a big weekend, winning the competitive field champion stake both days and ending with the high note of BOB on Sunday, earning 44 points towards her LCM and proudly representing the 2013 Grand Finale Litter. Congratulations, Susan! Niko finished his Championship title with a flourish at the Atlanta show, with a BOB over multiple Specials from the BBE class. That made his fifth major in seven days of showing. Niko is from the 2013 Grand Finale litter.
Congratulations, Niko, on becoming a new UKC Champion! He also became an official Canine Good Citizen the following week.
The Kamar Ibizans had a big weekend in Atlanta. Niko picked up two more majors as WD one day and BOW another, which leaves him with just a single point needed to finish, and also finished his Rally Novice title. Ami picked up her second major as BOW on Saturday. Kelia picked up her first point Sunday as WB. Fly picked up two GCH majors with a Select and a BOB. Deckard also picked up a GCH major as Select. Norma finished her Rally Advanced title with a very respectable 92 and a fourth place one day and a perfect score of 100 another day. Awesome!

On the east coast, four litters were represented at the IHCUS Supported Clemson show. Deckard (XXX Litter) was BOB both days and brought home an Owner-Handler Group Four on Sunday, beautifully handled by Jen Anderson. Niko (Grand Finale Litter) had his first show debut and was Best of Winners both days and Best Bred By both days for his first two majors. Ami (Grand Finale Litter) was Reserve Winners Bitch on Saturday and Kelia (XXX Litter) was Reserve Winners Bitch Sunday. Fly (Solo Litter) was Select Dog both days. In the Rally ring, Norma (Grand Finale Litter) qualified in Rally Advanced and her brother and sister, Niko and Ami, both received their first two qualifying scores in Rally Novice. Jasper (Red Litter) represented the youngest litter and also received a qualifying score in Rally Novice on Sunday. Go, Rally Beezers! On the west coast, Zabra (Grand Finale Litter) had a wonderful weekend. She finished her Championship title on Saturday by going Winner's Bitch and on Sunday she had a great debut as a special by going Select Bitch for a five point major. Congratulations, Melanie! |
